CHARLES PREVATT

DELAND – Charles E. Prevatt, 73, of North Sunshine Boulevard, who retired from the as a yeoman and, later, from Stetson University as a computer operator, died Tuesday at home.

Mr. Prevatt was born in Seville and was a lifelong resident of west Volusia County. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 72 for more than 50 years, the Fleet Reserve Association and the Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marjorie; a son, C. Stephen, Hawthorne; three daughters, Frances Fillegar, Port Orange, Marguerite Benedict, Ormond Beach, and Michelle Fitzgerald, Sanford; two brothers, James, Seville, and Rubert, Lakeland; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

PREVATT, CHARLES E. – Memorial service for Charles E. Prevatt, 78, DeLand, who died Tuesday, October 9, 2001, will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 16, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Father Bill Gohring officiating. Reception will follow.

Mr. Prevatt was born in Seville. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; son Stephen Prevatt; daughters, Frances Fillegar, Marguerite Benedict and Michele Fitzgerald; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Rubert and James.
