ERIK PREVATT

SEVILLE - Erik William Prevatt, 93, of Raulerson Road, owner and operator of Prevatt's Flower & Garden until retiring in 1989, died Friday at home.

Mr. Prevatt was a native and lifelong resident of Seville. He had been a member of Trinity United Methodist Church since its construction in 1912 and was a former member of Elks Lodge 1463, DeLand; He was the oldest justice of the peace in Florida. 

Survivors include a son, Douglas, Seville; a daughter, Norma Jones, Pierson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

PREVATT, WILLIAM ERIK - Funeral service for William Erik Prevatt, 93, Raulerson Road, Seville, who died Friday, September 3, 1999, at his residence, will be at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 7, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Seville, with the Rev. Troy Ray, pastor, officiating. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Seville Cemetery.

Mr. Prevatt was born in Seville. He was owner/operator of Prevatt's Flower and Gar­den, Seville, the oldest in Florida, established in 1930. He retired in 1989.

Mr. Prevatt was the oldest member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Seville. A past member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #1463, DeLand, and he was the oldest Justice of the Peace in Florida.
He is survived by a son, Douglas Erik Prevatt; Seville; daughter, Norma Jones, Pierson; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
