Born in San Mateo, FL April 19, 1925, Marjorie was a 13th Generation Native Floridian, a descendant of the First Florida Family (Solana). She resided in DeLand since 1963, and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Council of Catholic Women; Charter Member of Los Floridanos Society; Fleet Reserve Aux., Unit 147, Sanford, FL; Tuesday Library Knitting Group and Thursday Prayer Group.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Charles E. Prevatt (2001) and is survived by her son, C. Stephen Prevatt, Hawthorne, FL and her three daughters: Frances Fillegar, Port Orange, FL, Marguerite Benedict (Jim), Ormond Beach, FL and Michele Fitzgerald (Bill) Sanford, FL; 11 Grandchildren: Steve & Sean Prevatt, Rachel Prevatt Williams, Susan Simas; Jeffrey Fillegar (Sunnyie), Daytona Beach; Amanda Findlay (Derek), Bluffton, SC; Tyler Benedict (Kristi), Greensboro, NC; Michael Benedict (Stephanie), Daytona Beach; Jonathan Benedict (Cathy) Ormond Beach; Jennifer Guevara (David), Sanford, FL; Amy Thomas (Nick), Fairbanks, AK and 19 Great-Grandchildren.

Donations may be made in Marjorie's name to St. Peter Catholic Church, DeLand,FL or Halifax Health Hospice, 3800 Woodbriar Tr., Port Orange, FL 32129. Mass of Christian Burial and a Reception will be at St. Peter Catholic Church, 359 West New York Avenue, DeLand, FL at 10.00 AM, January 3, 2018, with internment in Seville Cemetery following.
