Funeral service for Patience Purvis, 80, Purvis Road, Seville, who died May 1, 2006, at Florida Hospital, DeLand, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at the First Baptist Church of Seville with the Rev. Jim Dickson and the Rev. Howard Cox officiating. Interment will be in Seville Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Purvis was born in Seville and was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Seville. She was a 1944 graduate of Seville High School.

Survivors include her husband, James Earl Purvis, and son, James Earl Purvis Jr., DeLand. She was predeceased by her son, Edward Purvis.

Calling house will be 10-11 a.m. today, Thursday, May 4, at First Baptist Church of Seville, 1875 Church St. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. May 4, at First Baptist Church of Seville, with the Rev. Jim Dickson and the Rev. Howard Cox officiating. Burial will be at Seville Cemetery.

Born in Seville, Mrs. Purvis was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of West Volusia.

She was a 1944 graduate of Seville High School, and a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Seville.

Mrs. Purvis was preceded in death by one son, Edward. She is survived by her husband, James Earl, and one son, James Earl Jr. of DeLand.
