PROMINENT PIERSON CITIZEN SUCCUMBS

The community wishes to express its sympathy to the family of Jacob J. Raulerson, 80, who died at 12:01 Wednesday morning at Fish Memorial Hospital in DeLand where he had been a patient for the past six-and-a-half months.

Mr. Raulerson was a lifelong resident of North Volusia. He was born in Seville, 7 August 1873, but later moved to Pierson. He was a retired citrus grower.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alice Raulerson; four sons; Herman Raulerson, Pierson; State Highway Trooper Jake Raulerson, DeLand; Darrell L. Raulerson, Lake Wales, Hill Raulerson, Jacksonville; two daughters; Mrs. Alice M. Gloyd, Silver Springs, Md.; Mrs. E. C. Hayman, Sanford; two brothers; George and Steve Raulerson of Seville; 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Pierson Baptist Church with Rev. L. A. Colding of DeLand assisted by Rev. I. S. Murphy of Ocklawaha officiating.

Serving as pall­bearers were; Leon Price, Ned Moore, Horace Carlisle, Carlton Bennett, George Baker and Bill Ruth. Burial was in the family lot at Seville Cemetery.
