SEVILLE -- Funeral services for Robert D. Raulerson were held at the Seville Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. The services were conducted by the Rev. J. M. Sullivan, pastor of the Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. I. S. Murphy and the Rev. Homer A. Bain.
Mr. Raulerson, age 69, passed away at his home on Tuesday morning, February 6 after seven weeks illness with heart trouble. He was born in Seville on the 16th of April 1870, and has lived in this community all of his life. He married Mollie Stone, July 5, 1905.
Besides being engaged in citrus growing he was a truck farmer. Mr. Raulerson has been an active member of the Seville Baptist Church for many years. The large assembly of friends and relatives attending the service were tokens of the high respect and friendship which Mr. Raulerson was held in the physical and spiritual esteem of the entire community.
Active pallbearers were: W. R. Ruth, R. C. Perkins, T. V. Newman, J. C. Mayfield, Orso Carter and C. A. Byrd.
The survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mollie S. Raulerson, three daughters: Mrs. Eunice Bolin and Miss Stella Raulerson of Seville and Mrs. Lucy Boyleston of Orangeburg, S. C. and two sons: Edgar V. Raulerson and James Raulerson, both of Jacksonville; five brothers; W. D. Raulerson, George Raulerson and S. F. Raulerson of Seville, J. J. Raulerson of Pierson and B. B. Raulerson of Boca Raton; and eleven grandchildren.
The floral offerings were many and unusually beautiful. Frank (Clayton Frank and Sons) Funeral Home of Crescent City had charge of arrangements. Interment was made in the family lot in the Seville Cemetery.
Among the out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral were a Mr. and Mrs. B. B. Raulerson and daughter Miss Ivy Raulerson of Boca Raton, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Raulerson and son Herman of Pierson, Mrs. Elmer Hayman of Sanford, Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Hunter and sons Otis, Ray Chester and Wilfred and Mrs. Ruth Hunter of Espanola, Miss Ethel Stone, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Stone and family, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bradshaw and Andrew Bradshaw, Jake and George Harper, Rev. B. C. Young and family, all of Pierson, Mr. and Mrs. Bambergh, Mr. and Mrs. Abram Richardson, Mrs. Eliza Lemmon and Miss Anna Maue Shockley all of Barberville, Mrs. Leamon Raulerson and Clay Sheldon of Jacksonville.
