THE FLAGLER TRIBUNE
Bunnell, Florida
April 28, 1921

All of Flagler County in mourning with the immediate relatives in the death of Mrs. Ophelia Roberts, for 35 years a resident of the Haw Creek country and one of Flagler county's most estimable and best loved women.

Mrs. Roberts was the wife of Mr. Nathan E Roberts, chairman of the board of county commissioners of Flagler county, and mother of Mr. Dave Roberts, mining and civil engineer of considerable prominence.

She was a native of Florida having been born and reared in Columbia county near the Suwannee river and was married to Mr. N. E. Roberts in 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts moved to the Haw Creek county in 1886, and as residents of that section were among the county's most highly respected and best loved people.

Mrs. Roberts has been a lingering sufferer for the past several months and her death came as no surprise to her relatives and friends. The end came at 6:25 o'clock Friday morning, the 22nd inst., the passing of this good Christian character casting a heart-felt sorrow over the community where she has resided for so many years.

She was a member of the Baptist church and the funeral was from her late residence, Rev. Murphy of Seville officiating. Interment was in the family plot at Seville Saturday.

The county joins the Tribune in deepest sympathy to the sorrowing husband and son.
