INTERLACHEN - Stella E. Haymart Spence, 90, a former resident of Seville, died Dec. 22, 2003, at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka.

Mrs. Spence was born in Seville.

She was a member of Community Church of God in Johnson, and enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, fishing, flowers, and canning and preserving fruits and vegetables.

Mrs. Spence was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, L.W. "Wesley" Spence; two daughters, Betty Jane Spence and Faye Spence Massey; her parents, J.L. and Jennie Haymart; and her sisters, Susie Haymart Bennett and Della Haymart. She is survived by two daughters, Estelle Cook and her husband, James, of Hollister, and Madge Moses and her husband, Timmy, of Interlachen; one son, Frank and his wife, Charlene, of Elkhart, Ind.; 11 grandchildren, 24
great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Watts Funeral Home and Crematory in San Mateo was in charge.

Stella E. Haymart Spence, 90, died Monday, December 22, 2003 at Putnam Community Medical
Center, Palatka.

A native of Seville, Mrs. Spence was currently residing in Interlachen and was a member of Community Church of God in Johnson. She enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, canning and preserving fruits and vegetables, fishing and flowers.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years: L.W. "Wesley" Spence; daughters: Betty Jane Spence and Faye Spence Massey; parents: J.I. and Jennie Haymart; sisters: Susie Haymart Bennett and Della Haymart.

Survivors are her daughters: Estelle (James) Cook, Hollister; Madge (Timmy) Moses, Interlachen; son: Frank (Charlene) Spence, Elkart, Ind.; 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday, Dec. 27 at Watts Funeral Home, San Mateo.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Van Minshew officiating.

Interment will follow in Seville Cemetery.

Watts Funeral Home, San Mateo is in charge of arrangements.
