Stephen Lavon Tanner

Lovingly known to his family as 'Lavon', he was born in Mission City, Florida and proudly served his country with the United States Navy.

Growing up, he lived in Seville and attended schools there. After his tour of duty with the military, he worked as a supervisor for National and Pan Am airlines in Jacksonville, Daytona Beach and Orlando. As a child he was a member of First Baptist Church in Seville and in his spare time he liked to fish.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet in 2009.

He is survived by his sons, Larry (Carolyn) Tanner of Bunnell and Steve Tanner, Jr.; daughters, Wanda (Dick) Lowe, Teresa (Tom) Padgett all of Palm Coast and Cynthia (Dennis) Kearce of Christmas, Florida; Ten Grandchildren and Fifteen Great Grand-children.

The family will welcome guests for visitation and viewing at the First Baptist Church of Seville at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12th. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor Wesley Price officiating. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Seville Cemetery.
