Wiley Monroe “Monk” Waters, 58, of Jacksonville, died Sunday in Memorial Hospital where he was a patient for three weeks.

A former Seville resident and Navy veteran, Mr. Waters was employed by the Commercial Car Haulers Co. of Jacksonville.

He is survived by his wife, Martha, Jacksonville; a brother, Cleo Waters of Seville; and seven sisters, Mrs. Ina Gamble, Mrs. Grace Newman, Mrs. Emily Ryals, Mrs. Dot McCormick and Mrs. Nadine White, all of Seville and Mrs. Lenore Deen of Alma, Ga. and Mrs. Emma Prevatt of Jacksonville.

 

WATERS, WILEY MONROE – Funeral services for Mr. Wiley Waters who died Sunday, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Seville First Baptist Church with the Rev. Murray Teuton, officiating.

Burial will be in Seville Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Waters.
