MRS. SALLY WOOLWINE

SEVILLE – Mrs. Sally Woolwine, 84, a resident of Seville for more than 60 years, died yesterday at her home here. 

She was the widow of E. M. Woolwine, who was chairman of the Volusia School Board in the 1920s. They were married in 1900. 

Mrs. Woolwine was born in Mountain Hill, Ga., near Columbus, and came to Florida with her family as a child. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church of Seville and the Women’s Society for Christian Service. 

Survivors include a son, Orman, Seville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Bessie Swore, Crescent City; and a sister, Mrs. Mamie Peters, Orlando.  

Service will be tomorrow at the Seville Trinity Methodist Church with Rev. J. T. Adams, Sanford, and Rev. F. C. Smelt, Seville, officiating. Calling hours will be at the church tomorrow from 1 to 3 tomorrow. 

Clayton Frank Funeral Home, Crescent City, is in charge.

MRS. WOOLWINE, LONGTIME SEVILLE RESIDEND DIES

Mrs. Sally Woolwine, 84, a pioneer resident of Volusia County, died at her Seville home early Friday morning.

Mrs. Woolwine, born at Mountain Hill near Columbus, Ga., came to Florida with her family as a young child. In 1900, she was married to the late E. M. Woolwine who was chairman of the Volusia County School Board for several years during the early 1920’s.

A resident of the Seville community for more than 60 years, she was a member of the Seville Trinity Methodist Church and the WSCS.

She is survived by one son, Orman, Seville; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Bessie Swor, Crescent City; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Peters, Orlando; five nieces: Mrs. Doris Tatum and Mrs. Violet Lee Roberts, both of DeLand; Mrs. Julia McCaskill of Orlando; Mrs. Mary Donaldson of San Antonio, Texas, and Mrs. Margaret Haley of Waco, Texas; one nephew, Robert Peters, Seville; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at the Seville Methodist Church with Rev. J. T. Adams of Sanford and the Rev. F. C. Smelt officiating.

The body will lie in state from 1-3 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Seville Cemetery.
