Nagi Abraham

Nagi Abraham of Flagler Beach, was born January 29, 1920 in New Kensington, Pa. and upon his graduation   from high school went to work for the Alcoa Aluminum Co. in New Kensington. Nagi saw wartime service from 1942-1945 in the Army as a member of the 767th Armored Battalion serving in the South Pacific, Hawaii and the Marshall Islands and was among the first troops to occupy Japan.

He moved to Washington DC in 1952 where, for the next 8 years he was assistant manager of Safeway stores.

The call of the south came in 1960 when Nagi moved to Flagler County and operated the Bunnell Restaurant and Motor lodge on US 1 for the next 13 years. After that he started his long tenure with ITT , Palm Coast in 1973 at the newly opened Palm Harbor Golf Club, where during this time he was awarded the Alan Smolen Award of Excellence.

Nagi had been married 31 years when his wife, Rose died in 1977.

He is survived by his three children, Sharyn (Husband, Stuart Rockett), Karen (husband, Bruce Wyly) and a son Ralph (wife, Sandra Abraham) Five Grandchildren, Randy, Dawn, Katrina, Ashley & Dillon and nine great-grandchildren: Amanda, R.J., Olivia, Cody, Justin, Matthew, Emily, Stuart, Audrey, Madison Rose and a great-Great -granddaughter, Brooklyn.

In lieu of flowers, gift card donations (Visa, Publix, Wal-mart, Target) may be made to the Activities Department, Clyde E. Lassen State VA Nursing Home, 4650 State Rd. 16, St. Augustine, Fl. 32092.

A Memorial service will be held at Craig Flagler Palms, 511 Old Kings Rd, S., Flagler Beach, Fl, Friday April 29th, 2016, at 11:00AM, family will receive friends from 10:00am until service time. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Korona.
