Domenico Buono, 78, 1005 N. Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, died Tuesday afternoon at Bunnell General Hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Buono was born in Pizzoni, Italy and moved to Flagler County 26 years ago from Detroit, Mich. He was former owner and operator of the Shell Service Station and Restaurant now known as Jim's Auto Sales. He was a member of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anna; two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Wilkins, Bunnell; and Mrs. Katherine Seagraves, Franklin Village, Mich.; a son, James Buono, Bunnell; two brothers, fifteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral Mass held at 10:00 Friday morning at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Bunnell with the Rev. Fr. Antonio Leon officiating. Interment was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Korona. Pallbearers were Wally Wilkins, Mickey Wilkins, Dennis Buono, Leonard Buono, Larry Joe Buono, and Jimmy Buono.
Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, was in charge.
