EDITH RITA DeMARTINO  

A graveside service for Edith Rita DeMartino, 91, of Bunnell, FL, will be held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Bunnell, FL at 1:30pm with Father Slawomir Podsiedlik officiating. Friends wishing to call and pay their respects may do so the same day from 11:00am-12:00 pm at the Dale Woodward Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Ridgewood Avenue, Holly Hill, FL 32117.

Edith was born on April 26, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York to Howard and Eda Kennish. She made her way to this area in 1970 from Riverhead, Long Island in New York. She was a cashier for the Zigfield Theater on 42nd Street, NY, NY. She thoroughly enjoyed volunteering her time at her favorite charities, Food for the Poor and Paralized Vets. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bunnell, FL and loved big band music, politics, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edward in 1998 and her daughter Ellen in 2006.

Survivors include her sons Edward, Jr. (Jacky), of Bunnell, FL, Martin of Sanford, FL, and Damian of St. Petersburg, FL; sister Millie Nally of Long Island, NY; two grandchildren Sonny (Dina) and Dan; and two great-grandchildren Taylor and Victoria.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
