CARMICHAEL, Calif. -- Dorothea P. Griffin, 88, a 30-year resident of Palm Coast until moving to California this past January, died Friday at home. 

A retired administrator for the New York State Department of Education, Mrs. Griffin moved to Palm Coast from Levittown, N.Y. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Palm Coast, several of its guilds and committees, and the National Council of Catholic Women. She had been an officer for the American Heart Association's Flagler County affiliate. 

Survivors include a son, Michael, Carmichael; a daughter, Rosemary Finn, Palm Coast; a sister, Rosella Krowles, Smithtown, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
