CARMICHAEL, Calif. -- Walter Griffin, 90, a former Palm Coast resident for 30 years, died Tuesday at home. 

Mr. Griffin, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born in New York City and moved to Palm Coast in 1972 from Levittown, N.Y. A retired painter for Metropolitan Life Insurance, he was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, both in Palm Coast. 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Dorothea; a son, Michael, La Honda, Calif.; a daughter, Rosemary Finn, Palm Coast; a sister, Eileen Kuhner, Rockaway Point, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Women's Morning Guild, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
