Mary Margaret Hagenberg of Palm Coast, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. She was born on November 30, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Hugh and Frances Black (Applegate).

She worked in the banking industry and upon her retirement she and her husband moved to the Palm Coast area in 1987 from Mantua, NJ. Mary was a devout catholic and was very active in her church parish, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where she was a member of the funeral choir, regular choir and with Holy of Holies. She was also a volunteer at the Flagler Health and Rehabilitation center formerly known as Flagler Pines Nursing Home for over 20 years. She will always be remembered as a devoted woman to her faith and a loving mother, grandmother and friend.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Hagenberg in 1991.

Surviving are her children, William F. (Linda) Hagenberg of Palm Coast, Paul A. Hagenberg of NJ., Thomas U. (Pam) Hagenberg of NJ., Theresa (Joseph) Marker of NJ., Donna Chase of MD., Dolores (Joseph) Jacovelli of NJ; sisters, Margaret (Joe) Chmielewski of Sarasota, Theresa Radetich of NJ. and Sister Mary Hugh (Black) of PA; brother, James Black of PA; sister-in-law, Theresa (Tony) Piedl; 17 grandchildren “including Stephanie Kornacki of Bunnell, Florida.” 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and many more loving relatives and friends.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, 10:00AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Friends may visit on Tuesday from 9:00AM until service time at the church. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
