Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Willie Harris, 85, of Palm Coast who went home to the Lord at his Concord Loving Care on Thursday July 5, 2012 will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery. The Family will be receiving guests on Wednesday July 11, 2012 from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. in the memorial room at the church.
Willie was born in Durantes Colony, CT. and moved to this are in 1989 from Brooklyn N.Y. Willie worked as a mechanic for J&J Foundry in Brooklyn, NY for 40 years, and was the owner of Concord Loving Care Assisted Living Facility in Palm Coast, Fl. Willie was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the NAACP, and he was a 33rd degree with the Masonic Lodge in NY. He enjoyed Golf, Tennis, and loved Baseball; He was a Huge New York Met Fan.
Willie was predeceased by his son Willie Harris Jr, and is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ida; daughter Shirley M. Tinsley Baez and her husband Robert of Palm Coast. Sister in law Leonie Richards and her husband Stanley of Palm Coast. Niece, Jennifer Richards of Orlando, Nephews Tony of Yonkers, NY and Michael of New Jersey. Grandchildren Tamesena Tinsley of England, and William Tinsley of Palm Coast, and one great grandchild.
Willie will be greatly misses by all his family and friends. Donations may be made in Willie's name to Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler County 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, Fl. 32127.
The family of Mr. Harris entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
