DAYTONA BEACH - Mary S. Hartnett, 84, of Mason Avenue, a retired engraver for the F.W. Woolworth Co., Boston, died Sunday at Emory L. Bennett Veterans Memorial Nursing Home.

Ms. Hartnett, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Lancaster, Pa., and moved to Daytona Beach in 2003 from Palm Coast. She was also a resident of Palm Coast from 1973 to 2003. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Ms. Hartnett enjoyed fishing, woodworking, archery, motorcycle riding, collecting stuffed animals and fencing.

Survivors include a sister, Helen Hartnett, Cincinnati, and a nephew, Patrick Hartnett, Palm Coast, who provided for her care.
