M. A. Koczwanski, Sr., Korona, passed away Tuesday afternoon at Bunnell General Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Galicia, Austria he moved to Korona 25 years ago from Pittsburgh, Pa.

Mr. Koczwanski served 31 years as legal secretary for the Polish Consulate. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Korona; and was treasurer of the Korona Community Club.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Kalinowski, California; Mrs. Olga Kazyowski, Detroit, Mich.; and Mrs. Annetta Edwards, Miami; a son, M. A. Koczwanski, Jr., Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Maria Czaja, New York City and Mrs. Jean Dudzinski, Warsaw, Poland; a brother, Bruno Koczwanski, Galicia, Poland; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A rosary service will be at 7 tonight at Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell.

Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church, Korona with the Rev. Father Antonio Leon officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Korona.

Active pallbearers are John Pawlicki, Jerry Krawczyk; John Walkowicz, Frank No­wicki, Chester.Trancynger and Stanley Smigielski.

Honorary pallbearers are Lee Drazba, John Zysk, Alex Zysk, Raymond Smith, Emil Mizanin, T. K. McKnight, P. A. Edmonson and Levi Brannam.
