PALM COAST -- John J. Laffey, 91, of Farmbrook Lane, who retired after 30 years of service for the Parks and Recreation Department for New York City, died Sunday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler, Bunnell.

Mr. Laffey, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came to this area 22 years ago from Queens, N.Y. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the American Legion, New York. 

Survivors include a sister, Lillian Kroncke, Palm Coast.
