A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 29th 2013, 11:00 AM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach. Interment of his cremated remains will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Korona.

Mr. Martin was born in Hoboken, N.J., on June 25, 1929, a son of the late Patrick and Mary Carney Martin. Roy was the first of his family born in the United States. The Martin's ancestral home being Celbridge, County Kildare, Ireland.

A lifelong entrepreneur, Roy owned and operated, with his late wife Eileen, both the M&S Meat Market, and the Old Causeway Inn in New Jersey in the 1960s and 70s. Roy and Eileen along with their children Thomas, Kevin, Craig and Sheila relocated to Flagler Beach and opened Martins Restaurant in 1986.

Roy lost his beloved wife and business partner Eileen to cancer on May, 25, 2002. Roy continued until the week of his death to be the first one at the restaurant every morning, cutting the meat, collecting the paperwork, and giving daily instructions to his sons Kevin and Craig. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus 4th degree and of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.

Thomas "Roy" is survived by sons Thomas and his wife Regina of Port Orange, Kevin, Craig and his wife Lupe; and daughter Sheila, all of Flagler Beach. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Michael and Rachael, of Port Orange, and Santiago, Angela, and Rory, all of Flagler Beach; and brothers James Martin of Newbern, N.C., and Patrick Martin of Waretown, N.J..

Flowers are welcomed but donations in his name may also be made to Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
