Christine M. McLellan



Christine M. McLellan, 51 of Bunnell, died peacefully, Saturday March 03, 2012 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House surrounded by her family. Mrs. McLellan was born in Cheverly, MD., a daughter of Leo and Jeanne Galarneau Gowen. She was member and cantor at the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach. She enjoyed singing, playing the guitar, and writing.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jim McLellan; one daughter, Mary McLellan of Bunnell, four sons, Ted McLellan of Gainesville, Tom McLellan of Bunnell, and twins, Joseph and John McLellan both of Bunnell. Three sisters, Jeanne, Kathleen and Marie; and three brothers, Dan, Timothy and Michael.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Leo Gowen.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 North Central Avenue in Flagler Beach. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Korona.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Christine's name to the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church Endowment Fund, 915 N. Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, FL 32136 or the Stuart Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast FL 32164.

Funeral arrangements are in the trust and care of the Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home in Flagler Beach.
