LOWELL -- Joseph V. Parrino, 81, a longtime Lowell resident, also of Daytona Beach, FL, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Lowell General Hosptial. He was the husband of Florence (Schwartz) Parrino, with whom he would have celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary this month.

Born April 12, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, he was a son of the late Domenico and the late Concetta (Nuzzo) Parrino. He was educated in New York and was a graduate of Queens College.

Mr. Parrino served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of Korean War. He resided in the Belvidere section of the city and was employed as a teacher in the Town of Westford's school system. His teaching career began in 1967 and spanned over 3 decades before his retirement in 1989. He was also a gifted artist and was well known throughout the area for his work.

Besides his beloved wife, Florence, he is survived by his three daughters; Lynn Clermont and her husband, Paul, of Westford, Susan Buote and her husband, David of Lowell, and Jill Parrino and her husband, Michael Schott of Shirley; his four grandchildren, Stephen and Sarah Clermont and Samantha and Katelyn Buote, he is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

PARRINO -- YOU ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND HIS CALLING HOURS ON THURSDAY FROM 5 UNTIL 8 P.M. HIS FUNERAL WILL BEGIN AT 9 A.M. ON FRIDAY AT THE MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH STREET, LOWELL MA. HIS FUNERAL MASS WILL BE OFFERED AT 10 A.M. AT THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH (LOWER CHURCH).
