ORMOND BEACH -- Stanley G. Pavlak, 87, a former reporter for the New Jersey based Polish newspaper Nowy Swait (New World), died Thursday at home. 

Mr. Pavlak, a retired machinist, was born in Pennsylvania and came here 19 years ago from Parsippany, N.J. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Guild of Polish Newspapermen, International Union of Electrical and Machine Workers, Polonia Club, and the Pulaski Club. 

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Irene; a son, Stanley, Sparta, N.J.; two daughters, Barbara Kirschner, Newton, N.J., Diane Pavlak, Manchester, N.H.; eight grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the Carmelite Fathers, H.C.I. Box 70, Bunnell 32110.
