Funeral Mass for Vito Possidente, 77, Palm Coast, will be held today (Saturday) at 11 a.m. at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach.

Mr. Possidente passed away at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. He was born in New York City on January 17, 1930. Together with his wife, Phyllis, he raised two daughters in Bethpage, N.Y. He retired as asst. superintendent of sanitation for the Village of Hempstead Long Island, N.Y. After 34 years of service, he moved to this area in August 1985.

Vito was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Palm Coast and a past member of the Italian American Club. He enjoyed cruising with his family, traveling through the West and was an avid New York Yankees, New York Giants and NASCAR fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Phyllis; his two daughters, Christine Bilello and her husband Joe, Vero Beach, and Carol Edwards and her husband John, Ronkonkoma, N.Y. Vito will also be sadly missed by his three grandsons, Michael, Matthew and Brian.
