Mrs. Katherine Smigielski died at the home of her son, Stanley Smigielski of Bulow, early Friday morning, Mary 29.

Mrs. Smigielski was 85 years of age. She was born in Poland and had lived in Massachusetts for a number of years before coming to Korona in 1919.

The Rosary was held at the chapel of Craig Funeral Home, 201 E. Moody Blvd., at 8:30 Sunday evening. Father Conley led the service.

Funeral services were held Monday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Kohls officiating. Interment followed in the Korona Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Craig Funeral Home.

Survivors include three sons, Stanley of Bulow; Charles of Korona, and Tofel of Texas City, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Viola Washburn, Providence, R. I. Also surviving are seven grand children and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Paul Stanish, John Slovak, Peter Wolski, Alex Zysk, Henry Mikulka and Stanley Gorecki.

Honorary pallbearers were Barney Trojan, Jerry Slovak, John Kizak and Walter Zalewski.
