Paul J. (Pi) Stanish, Bunnell, died Friday afternoon in Bunnell General Hospital. A native of Export, Pa., he had resided in Bunnell for 55 years, moving here from Herminie, Pa.

He was a former owner and operator of the Colonial Service Station in Bunnell, and he was a former city commissioner. In addition, he was instrumental in forming the Bunnell Volunteer Fire Department.

He was a member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church.

Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery, Korona.

Active pallbearers were Lee Blakely, Travis Chambers, John Slovak, Lewis Woods, Bob Hoover and Lee Drazba.

Honorary pallbearers were Chester Ruggles, Stanley Smigielski, John Rice, Gilbert Anderson, H.T. Cook, Jack Hosford, G.B. Kelly, P. A. Edmonson, Hub Frier, John M. Canakaris and George Allen, Jr.

Craig Funeral Home of Bunnell was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Julia Stanish, Bunnell; three daughters, Mrs. Bernadine Burnsed, Gainesville, Miss Celestine Stanish, Bunnell, Mrs. Catherine Cullen, Savannah, Ga.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Powell, Pensacola; one brother, Johnny Stanish, Sanford; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Bunnell, with the Rev. Father Thomas Cody, pastor, officiating.
