Vincent Tornelli, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Vincent Tornelli, Jr., 83, of Daytona Beach who died on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, will be held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 600 S. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Korona at 1:30 p.m.

Family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. at Pinello Funeral Home in Daytona Beach on Tuesday, August 27th with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.

Mr. Tornelli was born on February 11, 1930 in Naples, Italy and moved to this area from Bronx, New York in 1963. He was a retired chef and was actively involved at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Ormond Beach where he was involved in the RCA Program, was an altar server, a member of their prayer group and a Eucharistic Minister. Vincent was a member of the Moose Lodge of Ormond Beach since 1966 and also enjoyed cooking, dancing, picnics and the ocean.

Mr. Tornelli is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rita, a daughter, Mary Eley of Daytona Beach, two sons: Vincent C. Tornelli, Daytona Beach and Philip J. Tornelli, Port Orange, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Eli.
