PALM COAST -- Frederick W. Weigold, 81, of Westcliff Lane, who retired as a New York City Fire Department captain after 35 years of service, died Friday at home.
Mr. Weigold, a Navy Air Corps veteran of World War II, came here 12 years ago from his native New York City. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where he was a lector, and the Irish Social Club. He attended City College of New York. He enjoyed golf, woodworking and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Lorraine; two sons, Michael, Gainesville, and Peter, Jacksonville; two daughters, Regina McGrade, Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., and Donna Rowlinson, Great River, N.Y.; three brothers, John, Ormond Beach, Kenneth, New Jersey, and James, Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Helen Seldeen, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
